"National Martyrs' Day-2025" celebrated for the first time in Chittagong

For the first time, a discussion meeting was held at the Chittagong Circuit House Conference Room on February 25 to mark the observance of "National Martyrs' Day-2025". Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) and Director (Local Government) (Additional Duty) Mr. Muhammad Anwar Pasha was present as the chief guest and the discussion meeting was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong and learned District Magistrate Mr. Farida Khanam. In addition, the Superintendent of Police of Chittagong District Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM-Seva spoke as the special guest.

The discussion meeting respectfully remembered the members of the armed forces killed in the BDR mutiny and expressed hope that the culprits would be brought to justice under the appropriate law so that such incidents would not be repeated in the future.

Also present at the exchange of views were Deputy Director, Local Government Division, Chittagong Mr. Md. Noman Hossain, Chief Executive Officer, District Council, Chittagong Mr. Md. Didarul Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Chittagong Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT), Chittagong Mr. Md. Sharif Uddin and other officials of the Chittagong District Administration.
