Chattogram district is an administrative zone of Chittagong division of south-eastern Bangladesh. No other districts of Bangladesh has so much geographical variation like Chattogram because of the hills, the sea, the valleys and the forests.
Geographical location: Chattogram is located in between 20o35' and 22o59' north latitude and in between 91o27' and 92o22' east longitudes.
Geographical boundaries: Chattogram is bounded by Feni district and Tripura State of India to the north, Cox's Bazar district to the south, Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachari districts to the east, Noakhali district and Bay of Bengal to the west. Besides, the island Sandwip is part of Chittagong.
